An insulated panel, Titan Xterior Elite, is also available.

"Titan Xterior Prime" is a foundation cover uniquely engineered to withstand the ongoing rigors of lawn trimming and child's play, as well as mother nature.

Our exclusive, 5/8" thick, reinforced vinyl panel design is one flat exterior panel backed by an interior panel girded with vertical rigid ribs, offering superior protection from high winds, frost heaving, and hail.

Sleek, classic lines add simple beauty to your home with the realistic appearance of poured concrete or stucco foundations.

Installs as easily as other types of vinyl skirting with minimal installation time, using traditional foundation vents and standard vinyl skirting accessories.

Calculating What You Need

If you plan to enclose the entire home, you must first determine how many lineal feet you need to cover. Measure all four sides. A 16' wide x 76' long home will total up to 184 lineal feet (LF) If you also have decks to cover, simply add the sides coming away from the home to the total lineal footage. Normally, if a deck is covered, there will be no skirting behind the deck. The red line indicates where your skirting will be installed. ►
To determine how many trim pieces, divide the total lineal feet by 11, because all trim pieces are 11' in length. For example, 184 LF divided by 11=  16.72, which rounds up to 17 pieces. You can order a trim kit (which has 15 top back, 15 top front, and 15 ground channel, then add 2 of each type of trim to total 17 pieces. top backtop back
top fronttop front7035770357

Use a yardstick to measure from the ground to a point 2 inches above the bottom of the home's siding. This is to determine how tall a panel must be to reach from the ground channel to the point where it is covered by the top trim. Take a height measurement at each of the four corners of the home and the mid-point of each long side, total up the measurements, and divide by 6. This will determine the average height of your cut panels.
Knowing the average height helps to determine how many full panels will be needed. Most homes have average heights between 29" and 36". A full panel will be cut into 4 smaller panels, and when installed, will cover 62.5", or 5.21 LF. prime4cut
If your home is set lower to the ground, you will need a fewer number of full panels. For an average height between 24" and 28.8", a full panel will be cut into 5 smaller panels, and when installed, will cover 78.125", or 6.51 LF. prime 5 cut
If your home is set higher, you will need more panels. For an average height between 37" and 48", a full panel will be cut into 3 smaller panels, and when installed, will cover only 46.875, or 3.91 LF. prime 3 cut
To calculate the total number of full panels you will need, use this handy formula: Total lineal feet times .77 divided by "x" ("x" is the number of cuts you can get from a full panel, according to the average height)
Important note: It's a good idea to add an extra panel or two for insurance against error, and for future repair jobs.
29"- 36" Avg. Ht. : LF x .77 divided by 4= # of panels
(184 LF X .77)/4= 35.42 (Rounds up to 36 panels)
The number of foundation vents you use is up to you, but we recommend placing one foundation vent every 15-20 lineal feet. For 184 LF every 15 ft, you will need 12 foundation vents. Try to spread them out evenly for good looks and better air flow.►
You will need screws to install the top back trim. A good formula for calculating screws is-
# of top back pieces x 23 = # of screws recommended.
millscrews
A punch tool is recommended for making "grab tabs" in the top and bottom of each panel cut. 70299
You will need ground spikes to secure the bottom channel to the ground.
5-7 spikes per piece of ground channel
is recommended, but you may need more for sandy soil.
If your skirting runs over concrete instead of soil, use liquid adhesive instead of ground spikes to secure the ground channel. One tube of liquid adhesive for every 15 lineal feet over concrete is recommended.
Wind Stay Rods may be used to secure panels to the top trim, allowing for panels to expand and contract with seasonal changes. One rod for every 4 LF (every 3rd panel joint) is recommended.

Titan Xterior Prime Skirting Kit Component Chart

This handy chart shows the material requirements for the most common box sizes of manufactured homes. If you know the overall lineal footage of the area you want to skirt, this chart can show you at a glance about how much skirting you will need. Because the panel quantity will change with the average height, pick the panel column that reflects your average height. Please consult our skirting expert for special quotes.
